The WinForce tech platform, which is integrated with GLDS’ WinCable billing and subscriber management system, is designed to give field technicians real-time access to assigned work, as well as customer and account details by putting WinCable tools on a hand-held device, such as a smartphone, tablet, netbook or laptop. The product requires only an Internet connection and is not dependent on any one platform.

GLDS’ WinForce tech is fully integrated with the company’s WinCable billing and subscriber management system. The industry’s field technicians are working hard to keep up with the massive changes that the Internet and, subsequently, wireless technology have brought. One thing that would help, observes Garrick Russell, president of broadband billing and management provider Great Lakes Data Systems, is a better way to handle the information about all the devices in the home.
