James Cable Selects GLDS for Billing & Subscriber Management
CARLSBAD, Calif. – May 10, 2010 – Great Lakes Data Systems, Inc. (GLDS) announced that it has signed a long-term billing, subscriber management, and provisioning agreement with James Cable, headquartered in Braintree, MA.
GLDS, the leading provider of PC-based subscriber management and billing systems in our industry, announced a new multi-year agreement with James Cable, an MSO serving more than 50,000 subscribers throughout rural communities in Oklahoma, Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, Colorado, Wyoming, Tennessee, Alabama and Florida. GLDS has successfully converted James Cable from AMDOCS’ DDP-SQL platform to its own WinCable billing & subscriber management solution.
GLDS’ WinCable billing and service provisioning platform offers the tools necessary to effectively manage digital video, voice over internet protocol (VoIP), high speed internet and more. WinCable is cost effective, enabling broadband service providers to save an average of 50% every year over solutions from major service bureaus.
GLDS will provide a combination of solutions to automate billing and service delivery for James Cable’s triple play services. Products James Cable will employ include WinCable for enterprise billing and subscriber management, SuperController for provisioning, Service Provisioning Gateway (SPG) for automated data and voice provisioning, CableAnytime for web-based customer self care, Audio Response Unit for telephone-based self care, WinVoIP for call detail record billing, and WinPay for payment processing.
“GLDS gave us the opportunity to cut our costs while maintaining the level of service our customers have come to expect,” said Kate Adams, James Cable CEO. “We asked GLDS to do a lot for us in a very short period of time. The process went as smoothly as could be expected and GLDS delivered on all of their commitments. We haven’t been disappointed with our decision to make the change.”
“James Cable has some ambitious goals, and we’re confident that we can help them get there,” said Garrick Russell, Vice President at GLDS. “We’ve been managing triple play for technology-savvy operators since 2004, and are pleased to welcome James Cable as a customer.”
