GLDS Signs the City of Longmont, Colorado for Billing, Customer Management, Provisioning and Workforce Management

DENVER, CO (Cable-Tec Expo) – September 23, 2014 – Great Lakes Data Systems, Inc. (GLDS), the leading provider of billing, subscriber management and provisioning systems for small-to-medium global broadband providers, today announced it has added The City of Longmont Colorado to its growing list of broadband service provider customers who rely on GLDS for customer management, billing, provisioning and workforce management solutions. GLDS solutions support more than 400 operators in 44 countries worldwide.With the goal of becoming Colorado’s first gigabit city, The City of Longmont is expanding its current 18-mile fiber loop into a citywide network, opening it up for residential and business use. “We did a thorough due diligence process and they offered us a viable solution at the lowest cost,” said spokesman Scott Rochat of Longmont Power & Communications, the City’s utility company that will operate and manage the broadband system.

The City of Longmont has entered into a long-term agreement with GLDS for its WinCable® subscriber management and billing system, its SuperController™ provisioning platform, its WinForce tech™ mobile workforce management platform and several other solutions that will contribute to the overall efficiency of operations.
