Giggle Fiber Taps GLDS for Billing, Provisioning @B/OSS World
July 28, 2014 by Craig Galbraith | California-based Giggle Fiber – not to be confused with Google – has signed a multiyear deal with Great Lakes Data Systems (GLDS) for a broad suite of solutions.
Giggle will use GLDS’ WinCable, which the company says can effectively manage FTTH, VoIP, high-speed Internet and other next-gen services. Giggle Fiber has selected a broad group of GLDS’ solutions to deploy double-play services to its footprint of fiber-based services.
“GLDS offers the core tools needed to drive our billing, call center and operations departments, as well as the opportunity to expand our services and drive additional revenues,” said Dave Haverkate, CEO at Giggle Fiber. “Lower costs aren’t the only criteria for this kind of project, but they are a critical component and the savings we will enjoy will flow straight to our bottom-line. Successfully managing through the transition of a company’s core systems is crucial, and we’ve been very impressed with the professionalism and the results we’ve seen from GLDS.”
Giggle Fiber will use GLDS’ WinCable for enterprise billing and subscriber management, SuperController for provisioning of double-play services over FTTH, Service Provisioning Gateway (SPG) for automated voice and data provisioning, CableAnytim for Web-based customer self-care, WinPay for automated payment processing, and more.
MI-Connection, a triple-play provider in North Carolina, signed a similar deal with GLDS.
