Click!, BCI Broadband Tap GLDS @B/OSS World

June 10, 2013 by Craig Galbraith | Great Lakes Data Systems (GLDS) has added Click! Network and BCI Broadband to its growing list of broadband service provider customers. The new customers are calling on GLDS for its subscriber management, billing, provisioning and workforce management solutions.

Click! Network, one the nation’s largest municipally owned networks, serving more than 20,000 subscribers in the greater Tacoma, Wash., area, switched to GLDS earlier this year.“We have used and have researched several billing and subscriber management platforms and found that GLDS offered the most complete solution available for the money,” said Tenzin Gyaltsen, general manager, Click! Network. “I was impressed with GLDS’ ability to analyze a fairly complex project and provide solutions that not only met our growing needs, but meet them cost-effectively. We’ve had enough experience with GLDS already to know we made the right decision.”

BCI Broadband, founded in 2012 by the senior management team from the pioneering cable operator Bresnan Communications, recently completed the acquisition of Allegiance Communications, an existing GLDS customer. As a result, BCI Broadband entered into a new multiyear agreement with GLDS, expanding the scope of the relationship between both parties.

Both Click! Network and BCI Broadband entered into long-term agreements with GLDS for its WinCable subscriber management and billing system, its SuperController provisioning platform, its WinForce tech mobile workforce management platform, and several other solutions that GLDS says will contribute to the overall efficiency of their operations.

“While dozens of operators select WinCable each year, the vote of confidence from these important operators is noteworthy and validates the growing demand from broadband operators for easy-to-use, field-proven customer management solutions,” said Garrick Russell, president, GLDS.
