Great Lakes Data Systems Appoints Garrick Russell as President
CARLSBAD, Calif – March 23, 2011– Great Lakes Data Systems, Inc. (GLDS), the leading provider of PC-based subscriber management and billing systems for the broadband industry, today announced the appointment of long-time employee Garrick Russell as President and Chief Operations Officer.
Russell joined GLDS in 2003 and was promoted to V.P. of Operations in 2006, assuming responsibility for the company’s daily operations. In his new role as President, Russell will serve as chief advisor to GLDS’ CEO’s Alonzo and Laura Rosado, reporting to the company’s board of directors. He will be responsible for the company’s continued worldwide growth in the billing, provisioning and subscriber management market.
“Garrick has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team and has been instrumental in driving our product and company direction, fueling our continued growth,” said GLDS’ CEO Alonzo Rosado. “Today, we have several hundred broadband customers in 49 U.S. states and 43 countries. I know we’ll continue to benefit from Garrick’s capabilities as President and COO.” Rosado, a cable veteran since 1963, founded GLDS in 1980 and has since served as President and CEO.
Russell has more than 16 years’ experience in billing, subscriber management and customer care for major cable and telecommunications vendors including DST Innovis (acquired by AMDOCS), Alopa Networks (acquired by Arris) and Jacobs Rimell (acquired by AMDOCS). He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and an MBA from Golden Gate University.
